It seems that the franglais-named Un eye is a worthy successor to Wenger, when it comes to not spotting that his side was outclassed

We look a lot better playing with one up top. I like the ambition of playing two strikers but we control the game better with that midfield packed.

I’m not old enough to have seen Moore play live and have only seen old video clips of him.

But having just watched the clips of Rice on MOD I can see exactly why there are some of the older lot on here saying he reminds them of Moore. Has that same look of composure and they way he tackles.

I don't usually watch MOTD but I did tonight. I didn't realise how much arsenal pissed all over us. Very lucky to get a win based on the highlights.

Now I remember why I don't watch this shit

bar the league cup game, we have a tough run coming up now. some tricky away games mixed in with the liverpool game and ending at palace. come out of that run over thirty five points and we'll have done well

To expand on my praise for Rice other top teams defences are superior to ours but his talent to make a 50/50 tackle look easy and lay a ball off takes some doing that's without praising him to to score a cracking header.the fellas the business.

Declan Rice must be as a good a young player(British that don't matter for now)as there is in the the EPL.
A naturally gifted player.

Enjoyed that more than the Man Utd win. Biggest crowd of the season? Thought we just deserved it. Good game, nice to see some football played by both sides rather than the shit that Brighton and others serve up. Roll on the Scouse.

Pellers and his possession game is a breath of fresh hair.... I was too young for the lyall years and have only really seen counter attacking West Ham

He nearly put us in trouble early on, but won the ball back straight away - trouble averted.

I have to say Rice was excellent today, the comparison with Moore is still an insult to the great man but he looked the business. First touch a bit shaky putting us in trouble a few times but then he'd go and get us out of it again. Some great tackles and interceptions and a well taken goal. Looks like the gamble has paid off, well played Pellers.

Nasri was a good too, better than expected. Going to have to stop questioning Pellegrini, he's got to be the best manager we've had in the last 30 years.

Very satisfying result and performance today.

Good performance, clean sheet too all backed up by a massive crowd giving excellent backing to the team.

We defended well today and Nasri looked class with more to come hopefully.

Thought Arnie actually played for the team by effectively being one up front for a lot, bit like Carrol used to, it helped pin their defense back and stretch them. Could see him getting annoyed with midfield not joining him all the time but as a tactic it helped our midfield. He needed to come off but did a job by chasing their defenders.
And is Pellegrini trying to make Carrol more of a midfielder? It looked like he was taking up space between midfield and front, thankfully not dropping too deep.

I recently compared Rice with Bobby Moore (whom I’d had the huge privilege of seeing him play for us) and was accused of ‘exaggerating.’ However, I can give no youngster a higher accolade than comparing him with Mooro. Rice has the lot and I hope he stays with us for many years to come.

Rice reminds me more of Busquets, but a version that doesn't play act or behave like a cunt
